Mr Paul Appleby, the Director of Corporate Enforcement, has today confirmed by way of Decision Notice from his Office an extension of the scope of reporting to his Office by the liquidators of insolvent companies. An estimated 170 further companies will now be subject to a report by liquidators to his Office later this year. The companies in question are those to which a liquidator was appointed between 1 January 2000 and 30 June 2001 (both dates inclusive), where the liquidation was still ongoing on 1 June 2003.
